How much does an event videographer cost?

It’s one of the first questions I’m asked. And it’s a fair one.

When planning a corporate event, budgeting matters. But there isn’t a single fixed price, because an event is never just “a few hours of filming.”

The cost of an event videographer depends on what is actually needed and how the material will be used afterwards.

A part of my background

Before working as a freelance videographer for corporate events, I spent about ten years in local television production, handling shooting and editing for news programs and in-depth broadcasts.

That experience taught me two essential things: never miss the right moment, and edit with purpose.

In corporate events, those skills make a difference. A CEO’s announcement, a key statement from a director, a reaction from the audience, they happen once. There are no retakes.

That background shapes how I organize my work today, and it influences pricing as well. Clients are not paying only for presence, but for the ability to manage what happens in real time.

What Influences the Cost of an Event Videographer

Pricing varies depending on several factors:

  • duration of the event

  • need for multi-camera coverage

  • professional audio management

  • highlight video, full recording, or both

  • vertical social media reels

  • photography coverage

  • delivery timeline

Often, editing takes more time than the actual shooting. That’s where the story is built.

A strong highlight video is not a simple collection of clips. It’s a structured synthesis.

The less visible part: Revisions

There’s one aspect that significantly impacts corporate event videos and is rarely considered when discussing cost: revisions.

In corporate settings, a video is rarely reviewed by just one person. Marketing teams, management, communication departments, sometimes even partners, all have input.

Someone may want a faster rhythm.

Someone else may ask to highlight a specific speech.

Another person may suggest including a moment that initially seemed secondary.

This is normal.

For this reason, I always include a defined number of revision rounds in my proposals. It’s about balance: allowing room for improvement without turning the editing process into something endless.

Revisions are part of the job. But they need structure.

When a team is necessary

Not all events are the same.

For small to medium-sized corporate events, one professional can effectively manage both video and photography while maintaining visual coherence.

But when the event grows, multiple rooms, simultaneous talks, stage and backstage coverage, one person is not enough.

In these cases, working with a team becomes essential.

Two or more professionals allow for:

  • multiple angles covered at the same time

  • better audio control in complex panels

  • coverage of both stage and audience

  • complete documentation without rushing

Important events cannot afford to miss key moments.

When coverage becomes part of the experience

In some corporate events, especially those focused on networking or internal celebrations, coverage can also become entertainment.

A professional photobooth with instant prints, custom backdrops and fun selfie props can actively engage participants.

Guests leave with a printed memory of the event.

At the same time, the company gains digital content for social media and internal communication.

In these cases, the service goes beyond documentation. It becomes part of the event design.

A Realistic Price Range

Over the years I’ve spoken with many colleagues working in corporate events, both in Florence and elsewhere. Market ranges for a single professional covering both video and photography are relatively consistent.

For basic coverage including a highlight video and professional photography, prices typically range between €600 and €1,200, depending on duration and complexity.

Costs increase when:

  • the event lasts a full day

  • multi-camera setup is required

  • advanced audio management is needed

  • additional social media cuts are requested

  • a team is involved

Below certain budgets, what is offered is often limited to raw footage or minimal editing without structured revision management.

It’s not about expensive versus cheap. It’s about what’s included.

Personally, I prefer offering a sustainable and well-structured service rather than compressing the budget at the expense of quality or organization.

The More Useful Question

The real question is not only: how much does an event videographer cost?

A more useful question is: what value will this video generate after the event?

An event lasts a few hours.

The content created can work for months across your website, social channels, newsletters and internal communication.

Cost should be evaluated in relation to that value.

If you’d like a clear and realistic proposal, we can start from your objective and build the right structure around it.
